Bernard

Sadly Bernard passed away on March 24th 2020, 17 days after his 70th birthday.  He was an amazing husband, dad, grandad, brother, uncle and friend to so many. Bernard was a barber in Camborne for nearly 40 years before having to retire due to his failing eye sight. Bernard did a lot of charity work over many years. In 2009 he was awarded Cornwall Volunteer of the Year for his charity work, the first time the award was given. In 2012 he was honoured to carry the Olympic torch with his guide Jamie Reed. His sight loss didn't stop him living life to the full. In August 2021 we held a memorial rugby day  to raise money for 2 charities close to his heart,  The Macular Society and The Cornwall Air Ambulance.  A total of £4280 was raised to be divided equally between the charities. We all love and miss him every day
